As we approach the end of the first nine weeks, we are very busy at WWE, and it is exciting to watch our students learn and grow. Routines and procedures are in place, and our entire faculty is focused on our core business, teaching and learning. Teachers are working hard to implement the rigorous Tier 1 curriculum in all subjects.
We thank you for helping your child with their homework and helping to foster that love of learning we instill in each child, every day. We have so much to be proud of at our school and family support is always at the forefront.
The first quarter will come to a close on October 12th. Don’t forget about our first Parent Teacher Conferences for this year; we hope to have 100% participation. Parent-teacher conferences will be held on November 1st from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please work with your child’s teacher to schedule a time to attend. You will be able to discuss your child’s progress while gaining insight on how you can reinforce your child’s learning at home. More importantly, you can talk about ways to work together to make this year rewarding for your child.
We will host our annual Trunk R Treat on Tuesday, October 30th in the school parking lot from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will be a night for families to have some fun getting candy and playing games. We started accepting donations on Monday, October 1st through Monday, October 29th to make this a great event as always. Students who make donations will be allowed to dress down in a costume on October 31st.
We will also recognize Red Ribbon/Anti-Bullying Week during the week of October 22nd-26th. The PBIS committee has planned special activities throughout the week to help our students realize the importance of living their best life and taking care of their body and mind.
Please don’t forget save your Box Tops for Education and Community Coffee labels. These clippings can raise money for the school which can be used to purchase supplies and equipment for the students. This is an easy way to help WWE earn money for the school year-round.
By being committed to doing whatever it takes to help each child reach their potential, we will help our students succeed.
