October is here and fall is settling in, so are our teachers and students. We are well on our way to another great year, in which we will continue to strive for excellence.
We are continuing to implement rigorous standards throughout our math, reading, writing, social studies, and science curriculums.
We thank you for helping your child with their homework and helping to foster that love of learning we instill in each child, every day. We have so much to be proud of at our school and family support is always at the forefront.
The first quarter will come to a close on October 13th. Parent-teacher conferences will be held on November 1st from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Your commitment to attend this conference will truly make a difference with your child’s upcoming progress. You will be able to discuss your child’s progress while gaining insight on how you can reinforce your child’s learning at home. More importantly, you can talk about ways to work together to make this year as rewarding as it can be for your child.
We will host our annual Trunk R Treat on Wednesday, October 25th in the school parking lot. It will be a night for families to have some fun getting candy and playing games. We will be accepting donations will be accepted beginning Wednesday, October 5th through Wednesday, October 25th to make this a great event as always. Students who make donations will be allowed to dress down in a costume on October 31st.
We will also recognize Red Ribbon/Anti-Bullying Week October 23-27. Ms. Thompson has planned special activities throughout the week to help our students realize the importance of living their best life and taking care of their body and mind. Students…your future is key, so stay drug free!
Please don’t forget save your Box Tops for Education and Community Coffee labels. These clippings raise money for the school which can be used to purchase supplies and equipment for the students. This is an easy way to help WWE earn money for the school year-round. The clippings really make a difference last year over $2000.00 was raised from Box Tops and Community Coffee labels.
By being committed to doing whatever it takes to help each child reach their potential we will help our students succeed. I am humbled to be the principal of this amazing school and pledge to give my best to make a difference to every child, every day. I thank you for partnering with our faculty and staff in your child’s education.
